With the completion of this work, part of the problem of flooding in that area, specifically in Blanco Encalada street, is solved. This work doubles the water flow absorption capacity and has a direct impact on about 50 blocks. It has the capacity to withstand intense storms of up to two hours.

The duct has a diameter of 2.60 meters. It joins with an existing one in Mendoza and Washington, follows two blocks and has a 90 ° turn in Blanco Encalada, where it extends to Zapiola, where it connects with another existing channel. In addition to the sinks, links and manholes that correspond to this route, to complement the water collection they will place sinks on Olazabal between Washington and Naon; and in Oath, between Melián and Superí.
